Project 19: Black and White...and a Splash of Color!
In this Assignment, you will be creating a special photo. The photo has to be in black and white.
But, not all of it.
The main object or what you want to be the focus of the picture has to be in color. This will attract the viewer to your picture.

Your Assignment:
Tuesday:
1. Go to the computer lab. Log on. Go to the google. Search :black and white photo with color
Find at least 5 ideas that you will try!
2. Head outside. Aim to take at least 10-20 pictures.
3. Remember that you will be turning them into black and white photos using editing software. Make sure there is an object or person that you want to be the focus of your image (that will remain in color when you make the rest of the photograph black and white).
Make sure they can be turned into black and white pictures and there is an object that you can add color too.
Thursday (MAY NOT HAPPEN)
1. Search the internet to find examples and brainstorm some ideas. Try something different than Tuesday. Aim to do something creative and innovative and unique and awesome.
2. Head around the school. Use your past assignments to help you. Think about creating a still life, taking a portrait, finding an abandoned, forgotten object. PLEASE REMEMBER the Rule of Thirds. Aim to take at least 10-20 pictures.
3. Make sure there is an object or person that you want to be the focus of your image (that will remain in color when you make the rest of the photograph black and white).
Friday:
1. Make sure you have at least 20 images that are different ideas - some portraits, some candids, some still life...
2. Edit your images. Use PicMonkey or BeFunky to figure out how to turn only one part of your image black and white. ASK FOR HELP if you are stuck.
3. You need to hand in 3 examples of your work. Each one must be of a different object or person. You can create a collage or hand them in separately.
4. Hand your images in on schoolzone.
THIS IS A THREE DAY PROJECT. NEXT WEEK...NEW PROJECT! THIS MUST BE COMPLETED THIS WEEK.
