Welcome to Project 2: Take a Good Photograph
With a partner, take a camera for the class. Staying within the school field boundaries, each of you needs to take a good photograph. I encourage you each to take 15 pictures. Once we return to the classroom, you can download your pictures and select the best one.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO...you can experiment with some photo editing programs. You may hand in the original photograph and an edited version in this case.
Try: Pic Monkey, Be Funky, Microsoft Photo Software, or Photoshop.
Photoshop can be very challenging to learn. Use this link to look at what the tools are and experiment with some. (Check out the artistic filters, the clone tool, and the ability to add text to start with).
Each of you is now responsible for selecting the best photograph, and writing a full paragraph (5-8 sentences) about what qualifies it as a good photograph.
You will be assessed on your ability to explain why you selected the photograph that you did. I am looking for you to explain three specific reasons why selected the photograph you did.
When you are finished, you will publish your photograph and explanation on your shutterfly site. You will add the picture and writing to your blog/assignment page. THEN... you will hand your project in on Schoolzone. Use the hand in box. When you submit your photograph, be sure to title it properly. Your title needs to be "Project 2 - Your Name".
Can't figure out what makes your photograph good? Check this site out.
