Welcome to Project 3: Parts of a Camera
Before you start this project, do your homework. Go to the second tab down on the sidebar - "Everything We Need to Know". Look at the first three presentations.
- Handling Your Camera
- The Big Three
- Light and Exposure
With a partner, take a camera for the class. Stay within this hallway to take your photographs. Experiment with the settings on your camera while you photographing. I encourage you each to take at least 10 pictures. Once we return to the classroom, you can download your pictures and select the best one.
Each of you is now responsible for selecting the best photograph, and writing a full paragraph (5-8 sentences) describing the settings you used to create this unique photograph.
You will be assessed on your ability to explain the settings you used. I am looking for at least three specific new vocabulary words that describe the settings and what each one does. I am also looking for your personal opinion as to why this combination of settings created such a great photograph.
When you are finished, you will publish your photograph and explanation on your shutterfly site. You will add the picture and writing to your blog/assignment page. When you submit your photograph, be sure to title it properly. Your title needs to be "Project 3- Your Name".
