Well, well, well.
Here's an interesting assignment for you.
You have practiced your skills in still life photography as well as portraits and self-portraits. For this week's assignment, I am going to ask you to shoot a series of photographs that show meaning and tell a story.
Your assignment is to bring in an object of deep importance to you. You need to design the photo shoot to capture the significance and importance of that object. How your photograph looks should tell a story about the object.
Light or dark?
Color or black and white?
Centered in the frame or use the rule of thirds?
Backdrop or natural surroundings?
In focus or out of focus?
Close up? Long shot? Medium shot?
High angle or low angle?
Your audience should feel a mood when they look at your photograph. You may choose to edit the photograph to emphasize the mood even more.
Lastly, write a one paragraph description of your object to further describe why it is important to you.
